Routine
Children are sent reminders for their injections, which are given at bi-monthly sessions.  A Doctor or our Nurse Practitioner is always present.
 
Tetanus
All patients are encouraged to keep their immunisations up to date.
 
Influenza
Vaccinations are available in autumn at your request.  It is now recommended that all patients over the age of 65 years old have this vaccination annually.  They are also recommended for patients with chronic illness.  Please let us know if you would like one.
 
Pneumovax
Recommended for patients with chronic illness and patients over the age of 65.
 
Travel
Appropriate vaccinations are available.  Remember that you may need to start the programme of injections about six weeks before travelling, particularly if you are going somewhere exotic.  There will be a charge for some of these vaccinations.  Please ask the Receptionist for details.  For advice on travel vaccines  www.fitfortravel.scot.nhs.uk
